RTIA Opening Night Concert

Featuring Reno All-Star Collective and JAZZ MAFIA

Friday, September 9

Cargo Concert Hall, Whitney Peak

Doors 8:00pm Show 9:00pm

The RTIA Show is proud to present the Opening Night at Cargo featuring the Reno All-Star Collective, a 10-piece band showcasing some of the finest musicians in the region. Performing the music of Steve Wonder, Amy Winehouse, James Brown, Jon Batiste, Jimi Hendrix, Al Green, The Skatalites, and original music, the Reno All-Star Collective is coming together to perform exclusively for the RTIA Show- and for one night only. Expect a night of exciting live performances by musicians representing the quality and diversity of the Reno Tahoe regional music culture. The Opening Night will kick off with special guests from San Francisco’s Jazz Mafia, its brass band and DJ Lady Fingaz, who will be performing twenty classic breaks. The Jazz Mafia is an eclectic artist collective of forward-thinking and accomplished players in Electro, Hip-Hop, World, Classical, and Jazz. Twenty years in the making, Jazz Mafia is a prolific staple of the quintessential San Francisco sound, uniting creative and accomplished Bay Area instrumentalists, vocalists, MCs, composers, and arrangers. We won’t be surprised if these two music collectives and 18 musicians are jamming together by the end. More to be announced.
