RTIA SHOW LIVE MUSICAL PERFORMANCES
As an extension of the Heart of Reno showcase of regional fine art, sculpture and film, the RTIA Show presents some of the best musical talents of Reno, Tahoe and Northern Nevada. Introduced in partnership with EMG and TuneTrax, 80 musicians will perform on 17 staged live performances in 3 locations in solo, duo, trio or as a quartet in traditional and progressive jazz and blues, classical music, brass bands, instrumentation, acapella, improv, Latin, reggae, world, pop and folk music.

The Reno Jazz Syndicate Big Band, including 17 musicians conducted by Tristan Seller, will perform in the Mt. Rose Balloon while Karrie O'Neill and Kat MacMartin provide mobile musical entertainment in the Registration Lobby.

The RTIA Show's Opening Night at Cargo features the Reno All-Star Collective, a 10-piece band showcasing some of Reno Tahoe's finest. Performing the music of Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse, James Brown, Jon Batiste, Jimi Hendrix, Al Green, The Skatalites, and original music, the Reno All-Star Collective is coming together to perform exclusively for the RTIA Show- and for one night only. The Opening Night will kick off with special guests from San Francisco’s Jazz Mafia, its brass band and DJ Lady Fingaz, who will be performing twenty classic breaks. Twenty years in the making, Jazz Mafia's eclectic artist collective of forward-thinking and accomplished players in Electro, Hip-Hop, World, Classical, and Jazz is a prolific staple of the quintessential San Francisco sound, uniting creative and accomplished Bay Area instrumentalists, vocalists, MCs, composers, and arrangers. RTA AWARDS GALA

In celebration of regional artists and the winners of the Reno Tahoe Artist Awards, the RTA Awards Gala includes live performance by Reno Modern Brass on the Sky Room Plaza of the Nevada Museum of Art. Founded in 2018, Reno Modern Brass is a locally-focused brass chamber ensemble devoted to the performance and creation of music of living composers. Their mission is to commission new works, perform recently written masterpieces, and discover neglected great works from the recent past.
